Your One Of A Kind Special Event Is A Mouse Click Away!

There's no question as to how much impact a creative theme can have on your party and your guests. This bride-to-be decided to base her wedding theme on the movie "Under The Tuscan Sun." We pulled elements from the movie cover to create this original Tuscan ensemble. The 12 tables were identified by different cities and towns in Italy. The place cards indicated which area in Italy the guests would sit and the gift tags included a personal thank you. Visit us at: www.AbracaDebras.com

"The Big TEEN Birthday!"

Turning 13 is a celebration of a new status in your child's life. Take a good look at what your 'soon to be teenager' loves and enjoys. Create this special birthday around all of those special enjoyments.

Here, we created a gift bag ensemble for "Teens On The Go!" And do we know any teens that are not?

Hand sanitizer, lip balm, bottled water and assorted hair ornaments filled Rosie's gifts bags for her special 13th celebration.

This month's tip:

Centerpieces They Will Talk About!

Themed baskets or containers are a fun and creative answer to "what can I do for the centerpieces!" question. I am asked this question all the time and of course my first response is,"how much can you afford to spend?" Once you know how many people and tables you'll be having, you can determined just how much you can spend per table.

The table centerpiece is not only a decoration. Each one is usually given as a gift to one of your guests. So here's some centerpiece ideas that will give your guests something to talk about.

I recently did custom labels and the wine for a local customer. They were using the custom wine bottles as part of the bridal shower centerpieces. The wine was going inside a gift basket that included all the makings for a Italian style dinner that included a bottle of wine with their custom photo label, pasta, sauce and the brides favorite recipe. The guest brought there favorite recipe to the shower to be given to the bride to be. I designed the label usning the pink gerber daisies (the brides and bridesmaid flowers) and framed their photo with a gold wooden frame. The label included the bride and fiancè's names, the date and a little expression describing the couple then titled it "A Picture Perfect Couple

Another clever and unique idea is the "break away" centerpiece. This involves a centerpiece that is made up of your party favor. It's a great way to save a little money because your party favors become your centerpiece. We took this idea using custom designed candy wrappers and made a bouquet of chocolate bars in a beautiful crackled glass vase.
Your guests will know that "Love Is Blooming" when they walk in to see these colorful table arrangements. Perfect for Bridal Shower or "The Groovy Gardener" who's celebrating a Birthday or even Bat Mitzvah.

These color coordinated ensemble pieces can be assorted per table working perfectly for this gardening theme. Your guest will appreciate the beautiful colored planters with seasonal arrangements on some tables, while the remaining tables get adorned with gardening bags with tools.

Creating a "Picture Perfect" event!

I recently received this very lovely email from one of my website cutomers.

Hi Debra,
The graduation party was a lot of fun. Your cookie was a big hit.
People were impressed with the appearance of the girls' photo.
I made copies of your "Photo Cookie" flyer & interested persons
took a flyer.
The cookies arrived on Thursday, 6/18, as expected. All were intact.
Not one was broken. Thank you again for adding to this once in a
lifetime experience for my granddaughters.

Weddings! Hot '09' Trends!

Weddings! Hot '09' Trends!

If you're planning a wedding in the next year, no doubt you'll want to have your special day as distinctive and unique as your own personality and style. But these days, we are heavily influence by two factors, the economy and desire for chic and "unique". "I just love that word." What this means is , rather than having large, elaborate weddings, where a budget can exceeded before you said “I Do”, brides are opting for smaller weddings that are chic, intimate and more personal and the budget takes them all the way to their Honeymoon.

I have to thank my friends, Kelly and Dan McCluskey for one of my Top Hot wedding trends for 2009.

• Farm Weddings – Whether you’re looking for the serene, pastoral feeling for your special day or whether you're simply a country girl at heart, the farm wedding theme makes for a picture perfect reception. Kelly and Dan choose The Barn At Gibbet Hill in Groton, Massachusetts for their October 4th wedding. What a beautiful setting, with all of nature surrounding them and their fortunate guests, who could dress either semi formal to casual. To add additional character and color to this beautiful setting we were able to include the beautiful and colorful season of, Autumn.

• No Two Alike - It’s time to ditch the bridal party assembly line clones! Today’s modern bride looks for elegance and sophistication by putting her entire bridal party in unique designs that suit her bridesmaids size and shape all while keeping within her bridal color palette. Take a peek at Talbot’s and Nordstrom’s for some outstanding formal dresses “Fabulous!”

• Country Club – Hello tennis lovers and golfers, the country club awaits you. Spring and summer find our beautiful golf courses and tennis courts filled with active people, loving the outdoors and their sport. We just love the country club surroundings with a little preppy flair to make for a fun and comfortable wedding venue. Goom and groomsmen in navy jackets and khaki slacks and bridesmaids in solid colored sundress’s with an abundant bouquet of spring flower that include Queen Ann’s Lace. Have your florist create a large silk or floral topiary that will hold the guests place cards or seating arrangement.

Nature knows no season! It is revolving and changing ... and each new year brings a new 'promise to marry'. Best Wishes!
